The F1 season is underway! I’m so excited. I have to admit, though, I didn’t watch any of practice this morning. I find the practices quite dull as they don’t really tell us much. I will, however, be up very early for the qualifying. I’d love to say that I’d be watching it in the BBC but no. I won’t be. (Sky still haven’t been in touch about all those complaints…).

The Red Bulls were fastest in the practices. I’m not surprised (because they’re awesome), I think Vettel will be winning lots of races this year.

McLaren have been a bit slow and Mercedes unreliable. However, Lotus are looking fast.

So, Hamilton crashed out, Di Resta had a spin, Alonso and Webber did a lot of wide running and van der Garde beached his poor Caterham.

I’m going to leave this post here for now. I’m way too excited to say anything constructive. If you are about in the morning I will be live tweeting/rambling/drooling/eating bacon over at @Jetlbomb.

I love Melbourne and I expect lots of Webber coverage so that’ll be probably be quite entertaining for you all.
