An exciting new sim racing league has begun with a 60-strong grid tearing up Rockingham for the first race.

For so many people sim racing is more than just a game and plenty of leagues show talented sim racers can make the step to a physical car to race in the real world. For anyone who wants to make this leap, this is the perfect way to get started as Team HARD. is offering a place on the 2017 VW Scholarship to the winner.

Marc Christopher-Harris, the brains behind the newly-created league says: “A huge thank you to Team HARD and specifically Tony Gilham for allowing us to use the brand, and be officially sanctioned members of the Team HARD family. The prize of a place on the scholarship programme is a huge accolade for sim racing in general – and will go some way into breaking down the barriers of sim racing being ‘just a game’.”

The championship features two classes: CC1 for the hardcore sim racers and CC2 for gamers who want to just turn up, race and have some fun.

The first two races can be viewed here. All races are broadcast live on the YouTube channel from 8:30pm GMT with the next race taking place tonight.
